The Light Side

This is actually a picture of me lol. I am incredibly vain and love taking pictures of myself. I took this shot as part of a series of over sixty photos that I took after playing around with adhesive rhinestones. This photo is my favorite of the many pictures I have of myself, mostly because it includes a few of my favorite things: adhesive rhinestones as part of a good makeup job, nice gothy black eyeliner, a bandanna, my broken SkullCandy headphones that don't work anymore but I still keep around out of nostalgia, a choker that I made out of a cat collar with reflective stars and moons, my favorite t-shirt (my black Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon one) the glow-in-the-dark stars and moon on my bedroom ceiling, a watercolor self-portrait I did in high school, and of course, plenty of purple. Those ceiling fan blades make me think my head looks like a rice bowl. This portrait reminds me of Hand with Reflecting Sphere by M.C. Escher.
